One file at a time
This tool reads your PDF entirely on your own device using an open-source PDF library, so the file never leaves your computer. Once you upload a PDF, the tool detects how many pages it has and gives you two ways to split it: extracting a specific page range into a single new PDF, or breaking every page out into its own individual PDF file.
To extract a range, enter the start and end page numbers and click "Extract Range" — useful when you only need, say, pages 3 through 7 of a longer document. To break the whole file apart, click "Split Into Individual Pages" and a separate download link will appear for every page in the document.
Does this upload my PDF to a server?+
No. The entire split happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your file is never transmitted anywhere.
Can I extract more than one range at a time?+
Currently you can extract one range per click, but you can repeat the process as many times as you like for different ranges.
Is there a page limit?+
No artificial limit is imposed — very large PDFs (hundreds of pages) may just take a few extra seconds since your device is doing the processing.
Will the quality of my PDF change?+
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text, images and formatting stay identical to the original.
